Praxair, Inc., a Linde company, will be showcasing its CRYOLINE CF Cabinet Freezer at Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America in Boston, Massachusetts from 15 to 17 March, the firm announced on 27 February.
Ideal in size for pilot plants, startups, and smaller seafood processors, the cabinet freezer is geared for rapid batch freezing and chilling, Praxair said. The equipment can be used for prepared food products, larger-sized items, and offerings requiring longer retention times, the company added.
CRYOLINE is sold as a single or twin model, and has been designed to “hold either single or double racks for convenient batch chilling, using either liquid nitrogen or carbon dioxide,” according to Praxair. The industrial-sized cabinet freezer is comprised of stainless steel components, and has been fully-welded inside, meaning a minimal number of internal parts exist within the machine that must be removed and cleaned to ensure optimal sanitation. Moreover, the CRYOLINE device’s control panel is water resistant and capable of storing up to 10 recipes for products requiring differing cycle times and temperature requirements.
“The cabinet freezer offers seafood processors yet another method to preserve the quality of their high-value products while maintaining manufacturing efficiencies,” Praxair Business Development Director Chris Johnson said in a press release. “Frozen foods are experiencing a renaissance as consumers appreciate the convenience it gives them. Proper freezing and chilling techniques help ensure final product quality meets stringent standards and meets consumer taste preferences.”
At the expo, the company plans to discuss “how customers may lower operating costs while maintaining the highest standards for product quality,” as well as how a rapid chill or freeze process that uses liquid nitrogen or carbon dioxide “helps seafood processors improve yields and maintain product weight, locks in fresh taste, and helps mitigate food safety concerns,” Praxair said.
The company will be exhibiting for all three days of Seafood Processing North America at Booth #1465.
